Peter Burton
Peter Ray Burton (4 aprile 1921 - 21 novembre 1989) era un attore cinematografico e televisivo inglese.
Primi anni di vita
Peter Ray Burton, è nato a Bromley, nel Kent, da Frederick Ray Burton e Gladys Maude (nata Frazer).
carriera
È forse più noto per aver interpretato il ruolo del maggiore Boothroyd nel primo film di James Bond, Dr. No (1962). Burton fece due riapparizioni non accreditate nei film di Bond, prima come ufficiale RAF in Thunderball (1965) e poi come agente segreto nel satirico Casino Royale .
In The Scarlet and the Black, il docudrama per la televisione del 1983 riguardante agenti di controspionaggio britannici, irlandesi e statunitensi che lavorano per salvare c. 4.000 prigionieri di guerra alleati dalla deportazione nazista, Burton interpretò il ruolo dell'aristocratico inglese e del diplomatico britannico D'Arcy Godolphin Osborne, il dodicesimo (e ultimo) duca di Leeds.
L'ospite di Burton ha recitato in numerosi spettacoli televisivi, tra cui The Avengers , The Saint , Return of the Saint e UFO .
