Medaglia Clarke
La medaglia Clarke viene assegnata dalla Royal Society del Nuovo Galles del Sud, la più antica società istruita in Australia e nell'emisfero australe, per illustri lavori nelle scienze naturali.
La medaglia è stata nominata in onore del reverendo William Branwhite Clarke, uno dei fondatori della Società e doveva essere "premiato per contributi meritori in Geologia, Mineralogia e Storia Naturale dell'Australasia, per essere aperto a uomini di scienza, sia residenti in Australasia o altrove " .
Ora viene assegnato ogni anno per il distinto lavoro nelle scienze naturali (geologia, botanica e zoologia) svolto nel Commonwealth australiano e nei suoi territori. Ogni disciplina è considerata in rotazione ogni tre anni.
